Which format should you choose?

PNG is lossless: nothing is lost, and it keeps transparency, which makes it ideal for logos and screenshots. JPG is best for photos and works everywhere, but always compresses a little. WebP gives smaller files than both and is supported by all modern browsers; at 100% quality it is lossless.
